Publicity has perhaps gone out of fashion a bit recently. We are very aware of how important online activities and social media are, but we tend to forget the tried and true methods to get our names out there, good old fashioned Public Relations. The problem is that we as artists tend to not be great at publicity, and for many it’s scary and even possibly a four letter word.
So today I’ve brought in a great guest to teach me about publicity: Diana Darr, a publicist that specializes in work with musicians, although her advice is applicable for any kind of artist. This is a great one, you don’t want to miss it.
